AA RANO launches 24-hour unmanned fuel stations across Nigeria
AA RANO Auwalu Abdullahi Rano (AAR) Nigeria Limited has unveiled 24-hour unmanned fuel stations across Nigeria, equipped with digital smart pumping technology that enables payments without attendants. In a statement released in Kano on Wednesday, business mogul Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano announced the partnership with Petrosoft Limited, a Nigerian technology firm that developed the management systems. The automated fuel stations will launch operations this January at A.A. Rano’s 200 retail outlets nationwide, including border communities with Niger, Chad, Benin, and Cameroon. Motorists and motorcyclists can refuel and make instant payments 24 hours daily without fuel attendants. According to Rano, the technology reduces man-hour losses, improves transparency, and assures customers receive exact fuel volumes for their payments. Petrosoft CEO Dr Joshua Denila stated the locally-developed system meets international standards and addresses challenges in Nigeria's retail fuel market, improving efficiency from individual stations to larger fuelling depots nationwide. This innovation could save time for commuters who frequently queue at fuel stations during shortages. Will you prefer unmanned stations for convenience and faster service, or will you stick with attended stations for personal assistance and potential dispute resolution?
