Access Women Network, Evolve Charity Trust supply schoolgirls in 12 states
Access Women Network has partnered with Evolve Charity Trust to distribute essential school supplies to girls in 17 schools across 12 Nigerian states—Lagos, Abuja, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Kaduna, Kano, Imo, Kogi, Anambra, Delta, Osun and Edo. The items include uniforms, sandals, books, pens and school bags. The Lagos leg of the distribution is scheduled for October 14, 15 and 30, 2026, with simultaneous activities in the other participating schools.
The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on parents and help girls participate more confidently in their education. As Iyabo Soji-Okusanya, Executive Director of Corporate and Investment Banking at Access Bank plc, said, every girl deserves the resources to learn, grow and fulfil her potential. Godwin Ejeh, Project Director of Evolve Charity Trust, added that supporting the girl-child's education helps train a nation and builds a better future.
By providing these materials, the partnership seeks to create a more supportive learning environment, especially for children from families facing financial constraints, and to keep girls focused on their educational goals.
