ACF scribe criticizes Kwankwaso for comparing himself to Northern leaders
Tukur Mohammed-Baba, National Publicity Secretary of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), has criticized NDC presidential running mate Rabiu Kwankwaso for comparing himself to late Northern leaders Ahmad Bello (Sarduana of Sokoto) and Aminu Kano. Mohammed-Baba described Kwankwaso's claims of being the 'new Messiah of the North' as 'irreverent' and 'delusional,' stating that these historical figures operated in 'context of their time' and cannot be compared to modern politicians. The ACF scribe warned that such statements will make Kwankwaso appear irrelevant to Northern voters. This criticism comes amid reports of internal conflict within NDC regarding candidates list and Kwankwaso's role in the party structure. As the 2027 presidential campaign approaches, Kwankwaso's positioning within Northern Nigerian politics faces significant challenges from established Northern organizations.
