Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju said on X that Peter Obi and his running mate Rabiu Kwankwaso should withdraw from the 2027 presidential race if they are not secretly supporting President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, arguing that any vote for the duo would effectively be a vote for Tinubu.

In response, Kwankwaso insisted that Obi is actually causing Tinubu sleepless nights, citing Obi’s popularity in the South and efforts to mobilise Northern support, and claimed he had urged Fulani groups to persuade ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to step down.

The exchange highlights intensifying accusations of collusion among opposition figures ahead of the 2027 elections, with each side framing the other as either a Tinubu ally or a genuine threat, leaving voters to assess the credibility of these claims.

Should you view these allegations as evidence of a hidden agreement, or as political rhetoric aimed at discrediting rivals, and what information would you need to decide whom to trust?
