Activist blasts Tinubu over Plateau killings, says leadership ineffective

Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju today criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration over recurring killings in Plateau State, describing the situation as evidence of weak governance and ineffective leadership. In a statement, Adeyanju expressed alarm at repeated attacks on citizens, warning that the ongoing violence creates the perception that Nigeria lacks effective government. He emphasized that the magnitude and persistence of insecurity are damaging Nigeria's reputation both domestically and internationally, undermining public confidence and hindering national development. Adeyanju urged authorities to take decisive steps to address what he called a deeply troubling crisis with no clear solution in sight, stating it is increasingly difficult to understand how citizens can be attacked repeatedly without adequate protection.
