Nwosu, who was the governorship candidate of the party in the November governorship election in Anambra State, said the attack poses a serious threat to the principles that underpin democracy. Democracy thrives on healthy competition of ideas, constructive engagement, and mutual respect, not aggression or lawlessness. “I call on the relevant security agencies to act swiftly and decisively to investigate this incident, unearth the perpetrators, and ensure that they are brought to justice. “Accountability is critical to preventing future occurrences and restoring public confidence, and political differences must never degenerate into acts that endanger lives or undermine national stability,” he said.
