ADC claims Obi, Kwankwaso's exit premeditated ahead of 2027

ADC spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi says Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso's departure from the party was planned ahead of time, not sudden. He claims Obi once warned that presenting two candidates against Bola Ahmed Tinubu would hand him victory in 2027, questioning what changed. The ADC gave Obi special treatment, including nominating the National Organising Secretary, a key party position, yet he never complained about unfair treatment. Abdullahi points to a meeting in Kano involving Obi, Kwankwaso, and Seriake Dickson where things suddenly changed, suggesting the move may be aimed at dividing the opposition to benefit the incumbent administration. The spokesperson emphasized that while politicians are free to join any party, they shouldn't give weak reasons for leaving.
