Cameroon's AGL logistics partners with REasy trade finance platform to launch groupage shipping service for small businesses importing from China. Groupage shipping allows multiple merchants to share container space instead of paying for entire containers, solving a major pain point for African SMEs.

The service combines digital payments, international shipping, and end-to-end tracking into a single system, eliminating the need to navigate separate freight agents, customs brokers, and informal payment systems. In March 2026, Cameroon exported $14 million to China while importing $276 million, highlighting China's critical role as a supply market for African businesses.

REasy will handle digital payments and transaction coordination, while AGL Cameroon manages the physical logistics chain including cargo consolidation in China, freight transport, warehousing, and customs clearance. Both companies have invested significantly—REasy raised $1.8M in 2025, while AGL Cameroon recently deployed CFA2 billion ($3.5M) in new logistics equipment.

The first China-Cameroon groupage container arrived April 29, with plans to expand the model to other African markets. For Nigerian importers, this approach could simplify sourcing from China without the complexity of managing multiple service providers.
