Aguero names Cole Palmer Chelsea's best player, calls him spectacular

Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has named Cole Palmer as Chelsea's best player at present, describing the England international as spectacular. Speaking to Stake (via GOAL), Aguero said, "I played with Cole Palmer, and I love him as a player. I think he is spectacular. Moving has worked well because he needed to play. In my opinion, he is Chelsea's best player today." Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 after failing to secure regular playing time under then-manager Pep Guardiola. Since his move, the 22-year-old attacking midfielder has become a regular feature in Chelsea's lineup, contributing goals and assists in the Premier League. Aguero's endorsement highlights Palmer's rapid development and the impact of his transfer for more playing time. For Nigerian football fans who follow the EPL and Chelsea's fortunes, this praise from a former City star signals that Palmer could be a key figure in Chelsea's attack this season. Will Palmer live up to Aguero's high expectations and help Chelsea challenge for major honours, or will inconsistency limit his influence at Stamford Bridge?
