Air Peace experiencing nationwide flight delays and schedule changes due to aviation fuel supply constraints, affecting travelers across Nigeria. The airline issued two notices Saturday confirming "fuel availability remains limited" disrupting scheduled departures, with Abuja–London route reduced to three weekly flights until July 1, 2026.

Passengers report significant inconvenience including one case of elderly parents stranded in Owerri with rescheduled flights from 10 a.m. to 8:50 p.m., and another delayed 4.5 hours from 1:40 p.m. to 6 p.m. Despite Air Peace citing "highest standards of safety," travelers face disruptions with no clear compensation policy.

The crisis stems from Jet A1 fuel prices surging from N900 to over N3,300 per liter (267% increase), though NCAA Director Michael Achimugu confirms passengers' rights: "light refreshment after two hours of delay." Travelers experiencing lengthy delays should meet NCAA Consumer Protection Officers at terminals for assistance. With fuel supply challenges persisting despite government intervention, how should airlines balance operational constraints with passenger protection?
