Air Peace, Turkish Airlines Launch Interline Agreement for Seamless Global Connections
Air Peace and Turkish Airlines have signed an interline agreement enabling single-ticket journeys, coordinated schedules, and streamlined baggage handling between Nigeria, West/Central Africa, and global destinations. Passengers arriving in Lagos can now connect seamlessly to Air Peace's domestic and regional routes, while outbound travelers gain access to Turkish Airlines' global network via Istanbul covering Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Americas.
Chief Commercial Officer of Air Peace, Nowel Ngala, described this as positioning Nigeria 'at the centre of global connectivity,' reducing travel complexity and expanding customer choice. Dr. Özlem Özön of Turkish Airlines emphasized the agreement strengthens their 'commitment to expanding connectivity across Africa' while opening new economic opportunities for trade, tourism, and business travel between Nigeria and Türkiye.
This builds on a similar Emirates-Air Peace agreement from January 2026 that widened Nigeria-UK connectivity. The partnership strengthens Nigeria's position as a key gateway linking Africa to international markets and is expected to drive passenger traffic while improving route efficiency across the region. For travelers, this means simplified multi-leg journeys and greater accessibility to West and Central Africa through the Lagos hub.
