Super Eagles forward Akor Adams has returned to the team camp in Fès, Morocco after visiting his mother in hospital. The 25-year-old was granted permission to see his mother, who was hospitalized on the eve of Nigeria’s Round of 16 AFCON 2025 encounter against Mozambique. His parents traveled to Fès to support him during the tournament, but his mother's illness prevented her from attending the 4-0 victory over the Mambas. Team administrator Dayo Enebi Achor confirmed Akor's swift return: "He took permission to go and see his mother who was hospitalized here in Fès, and returned in less than an hour," Achor told thenff.com. The forward is now back with his teammates as the Super Eagles prepare for their quarter-final clash against Tunisia in Marrakech this Thursday.
