Carlos Alcaraz sets up blockbuster Monte Carlo Masters final with world #2 Jannik Sinner after dispatching local favorite Valentin Vacherot 6-4, 6-4 in Saturday's semifinals. The Spaniard is defending his title and fighting to keep the top spot when new ATP rankings are released Monday.

Earlier, Sinner dominated Alexander Zverev 6-1, 6-4 to reach his third Masters 1000 final this season - joining elite company with only Novak Djokovic (2015), Roger Federer (2006), and Rafael Nadal (2011) to achieve this feat. The 24-year-old Italian has lost only one set in his last 21 Masters 1000 matches.

Sunday's final (April 12) marks the first Alcaraz-Sinner showdown of 2026 and will determine who becomes world #1. Alcaraz leads their head-to-head 10-6 but Sinner arrives in hot form, having beaten Zverev for the fourth time in their last five meetings. With career-defining stakes and contrasting styles, this final promises to be one of the most significant matches of the clay court season.
