APC calls Obi, Kwankwaso 'unserious' for party hopping ahead of 2027
APC's Felix Morka slammed Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso as 'unserious' for leaving African Democratic Congress (ADC) to join Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) on Sunday, just months after joining the ADC. Both leaders cited legal disputes allegedly encouraged by the ruling party as their reason for defection.
Morka dismissed the claims on Monday's Channels Television appearance, insisting they're merely seeking 'cheap or convenient route to secure presidential tickets.' He accused the opposition figures of engaging in 'nomadic movement' and questioned their stability as presidential aspirants.
The APC spokesman characterized ADC as a 'self-made grenade' that imploded due to conflicting interests among members, denying any ruling party interference. His criticism comes ahead of the 2027 presidential election where Obi and Kwankwaso are expected to challenge the ruling party.
With frequent party changes becoming a pattern for these opposition leaders, will Nigerian voters view such political maneuvering as strategic positioning or evidence of unreliable leadership?
