APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda warned aspirants contesting 2027 elections to approach primaries with discipline, restraint, and respect for democratic principles. Screening exercises concluded last weekend with committee reports due shortly for the electoral process phases.

The chairperson threatened sanctions including immediate suspension for aspirants or supporters involved in violence, anti-party activities, incitement, or compromising integrity of primaries. 'In every democratic contest, only one person will eventually emerge victorious,' Yilwatda stated, urging acceptance of outcomes for party unity.

The APC leadership commended President Tinubu for strengthening democratic institutions and called for nationwide mobilization for his reelection bid under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Yilwatda highlighted administration achievements including infrastructure projects, agricultural interventions, and SME support programs.

With party unity emphasized, how should aspirants balance ambition with party discipline in Nigeria's increasingly competitive political landscape?
