APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda has paid tribute to fallen Nigerian Armed Forces personnel on Armed Forces Remembrance Day, January 15, 2026. In a post on X, Yilwatda described the soldiers' sacrifices as 'personal' and the foundation of Nigeria's unity, democracy, and progress. He honoured those who died in battlefields, peacekeeping missions, and efforts to safeguard Nigeria's sovereignty. The APC chairman also expressed solidarity with wounded soldiers, veterans living with scars, and families of fallen heroes. He stated Nigeria must never forget that its democracy and progress are anchored on the selflessness and bravery of military personnel. Yilwatda called on Nigerians to let the memories of fallen heroes inspire greater patriotism, unity, and commitment to building a stronger, more secure nation. He prayed for the repose of their souls and acknowledged the pride and pain carried by their families.
