APC National Secretary Ajibola Basiru asserted earlier today that no other Nigerian political party matches their level of transparency in primary elections, speaking on Arise News according to Daily Post. He cited compliance with the Electoral Act's direct primary option as evidence of the party's dedication to internal democracy and organization.

Basiru acknowledged ongoing controversies including allegations of candidate imposition, electoral misconduct, violence, and stakeholder exclusion during the primaries. Despite dissatisfied aspirants opposing the consensus method and claiming the process lacked transparency, he rated APC's performance "very favorably" based on reports from the National Assembly and predicted no other party would match their coordination by May 29-30 declarations.

Deputy National Chairman (South) Dr. Ben Nwoye advised losing aspirants to either accept declared results or file appeals through designated committees, with escalation possible to the National Working Committee. He noted strong grassroots participation nationwide while acknowledging the process remains satisfactory for many. What specific mechanisms exist for voters to challenge perceived irregularities beyond the aspirant appeal process?
