According to the statement, the Institute is expected to drive policy research and publications, organise national and international conferences, seminars, and training programmes. It is also expected to build leadership and institutional capacity within the party, strengthen ideology, governance standards, and democratic culture as well as serve as the institutional memory of the APC.
