APC reveals opposition anger over Electoral Act amendment
APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka stated opposition leaders are angry because the Electoral Act amendment removes their plan to invalidate elections where real-time electronic transmission of results isn't possible. Morka claimed opposition figures like Peter Obi and Buba Galadima knew internet connectivity remains uneven nationwide. The amendment was signed into law by President Tinubu, but opposition parties ADC and NNPP reject it as anti-democratic. Morka's comments follow the signing of the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill 2026.
