Apostle Suleman tells Tinubu: Resign if you can't fix insecurity
Senior Pastor Apostle Johnson Suleman has called on President Bola Tinubu to resign if he cannot address Nigeria's security challenges, made during a sermon at Omega Fire Ministries International.
The religious leader identified sponsors of terrorism as 'the real problem' of Nigeria, demanding their immediate arrest and prosecution while praising Nigerian security agencies as 'among the best in the world.'
Suleman claimed terrorists were brought into Nigeria in 2014 when they were six years old, now aged 19-21, resulting in 'small boys carrying AK 47' currently causing insecurity. He emphasized that Tinubu should focus on arresting those who empower these criminals.
This call from a prominent religious figure reflects growing pressure on the president's handling of security nationwide, particularly as the 2027 political season approaches. Should religious leaders be intervening directly in security policy discussions, or is this appropriate public discourse?
