Apple revealed Siri AI and next-generation Apple Intelligence as part of iOS 27, announced at its Worldwide Developers Conference 2026 in California. Developer testing began immediately, with public beta scheduled for next month ahead of full rollout later this year.
The new features include enhanced parental controls allowing parents to create child accounts with age-appropriate protections, approve contacts, manage website/app access, and set time allowances for entertainment, games and social media. A 'Communication Safety' feature will block violent and graphic content from children.
