Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta revealed Ezri Konsa suffered a knee injury during Wednesday's 2-1 Champions League victory over Slavia Prague. The England centre-back started alongside Gabriel Magalhães but was withdrawn in the second half for Cristhian Mosquera, with William Saliba returning to the bench after his own fitness issues.

Arteta explained the decision: "He is obviously playing a lot; he's played so many games in the last few weeks. He had some issues, and we decided to take him off." Konsa now faces a race to be fit for Saturday's Premier League home clash against Hull City at the Emirates.

The injury disrupts Arsenal's defensive rhythm just as Saliba returns to full fitness. Arteta must decide whether to pair Saliba with Gabriel, trust Mosquera alongside Gabriel, or potentially shift Jurrien Timber centrally. Konsa had started every match since October across all competitions.

For Fantasy Premier League managers, Konsa's status is uncertain ahead of Gameweek 11. Monitor Friday's press conference for definitive updates. Arsenal's defensive clean sheet prospects against Hull City depend heavily on this selection call.
