Asake announces May 1 album release with 13-track M$NEY project
Afrobeats superstar Asake (Ahmed Ololade) officially announced his fourth studio album 'M$NEY' dropping May 1, 2026. The 13-track project features previously released singles including 'Why Love,' 'Badman Gangster' featuring French artist Tiakola, and 'Worship' featuring DJ Snake. The announcement came via social media with a teaser video showing the album cover art.
This release continues Asake's prolific output in the Nigerian music industry, marking his fourth project in just five years. Known for blending Afrobeats with Fuji-inspired sounds, the artist has built a strong following both locally and internationally since his breakout. M$NEY follows his successful 2026 joint EP 'Real Vol. 1' with Wizkid, which produced the chart-topping single 'Jogodo.'
Asake's previous albums have consistently featured international collaborations - 'Lungu Boy' (2024) included Travis Scott and Stormzy, while 'Work of Art' (2023) produced hits like 'Yoga' and 'Amapiano.' His debut 'Mr Money With The Vibe' (2022) featured Burna Boy and achieved significant chart success in Nigeria. With this new release, expectations are high that Asake will maintain his commercial dominance while expanding his global footprint in the competitive Afrobeats landscape.
