Galatasaray assistant coach Irfan Saraloglu said Victor Osimhen’s limited 13‑minute cameo against Kasimpasa on Friday, October 9, 2026, was a deliberate workload management after his September injury and a tactical shift following Lucas Torreira’s red card. Osimhen came off the bench for Deniz Gul with 13 minutes left, setting up Mario Lemina for the decisive third goal in Galatasaray’s 3‑1 win. The match took place at Galatasaray’s Rams Park stadium in Istanbul, where the side looked to secure all three points after Torreira’s dismissal forced a defensive reshuffle. Saraloglu told the club’s website that after Torreira’s dismissal the team retreated, losing balance, and conceded from the gap that led to the goal. He added that Osimhen "just came back from injury, we had to protect him" and also shield players returning from national‑team duty. Before his injury, Osimhen had scored six goals and provided two assists in four league matches. Now he will aim to regain full match sharpness and build on that early‑season form as Galatasaray continue their campaign.
