Baba Ijesha announces birth of son King Kagar on Facebook page
Baba Ijesha announced on Facebook Monday that he and wife Abiodun Tokunbo welcomed a newborn son named King Kagar. The Yoruba actor, who has over 4,000 Instagram followers, shared the news with a post quoting: 'In quiet ways, in unseen ways, God has been writing a story only He could tell. We thank the Almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy.' He referred to his wife as 'my ever beautiful wife, strong jagaban, Abikesde mi owoh, ceolumineeofficial, who became a mother of my son King Kagar.'
His wife Abiodun, CEO of Anjy Luminee Couture, announced the birth on her Instagram page the same day, writing: 'Psalm 139:13. Jeremiah 29:11. Numbers 6:24. Jeremiah 1:15. You’re chosen King Kagar. Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, Ariyo Osuu, 12 years after Anjola Sarigu. Our little miracle is finally here!' She described their hearts as 'bursting with love' and prayed for God's protection and guidance for their son.
Colleagues including actor and activist Yomi Fabiyi congratulated the couple, with Fabiyi sharing a video on Instagram and writing: 'And to God be the glory, God just blessed Omiyinka Olanrewaju James, a.k.a. Baba Ijesha, and CEO of Luminee, with a bouncing baby boy.'
This joyful announcement follows Baba Ijesha's release from prison in November 2025 after serving a jail term for conviction in a sexual assault case, as previously reported by PREMIUM TIMES. The article noted he had discussed his previous marriage in a March 2026 interview, revealing he supported his ex-wife's UK trip for what she claimed was a master's degree, only to discover it was not for academic purposes.
