CAF has appointed Somali referee Omar Artan for the Super Eagles' AFCON 2025 quarter-final clash against Algeria at Stade de Marrakech on Saturday. Kick-off is 5pm Nigerian time. Artan is a 2026 FIFA World Cup selected referee and widely regarded as one of Africa's most respected officials. This is a repeat of the AFCON 2019 semi-final, which Algeria won 2-1. The Super Eagles are currently facing bonus disputes that could affect travel, while key players like Ndidi, Onyeka, and Bassey are on suspension alert. Victor Osimhen has returned to training after his clash with Lookman, who has joined the team's elite top scorer list. NFF has rolled out massive bonuses for the squad, while Alebiosu is set to return to training.
