Former Turkish referee Ahmet Çakar has rejected the decision to name Victor Osimhen Man of the Match after Galatasaray's 4-2 Champions League win over Lille at Stade Pierre-Mauroy today. Osimhen netted Galatasaray's fourth goal—his first against the French side—but Çakar insists Barış Alper Yılmaz, Batrakov, and Yunus Akgün deserved the honor more.

"It's unfair," Çakar said on BTV YouTube channel. "Osimhen didn't play badly, but there are Barış Alper Yılmaz, Batrakov and Yunus Akgün." The Nigerian striker still collected the award after helping the Yellow-Reds secure three points in France.

Osimhen's season tally now reads seven goals and three assists across eight appearances in all competitions—a blistering start that's silenced most critics. Yet even dominant performances spark debate over what defines "best on pitch": goal-scoring, creative output, or defensive work rate.

The Super Eagles star remains locked in on extending his hot streak. Galatasaray's next fixture looms but Osimhen's focus stays on consistent output regardless of individual accolades.

When a striker scores but three teammates get louder MOTM backing, what's your metric for "best player"—goals, all-round influence, or game-changing moments?
