CAS confirmsSenegal appeal against CAF’s AFCON title decision
Senegal’s Football Federation (FSF) has appealed CAF’s decision to strip them of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title, with CAS confirming the appeal. FSF seeks to overturn CAF’s ruling and be declared AFCON winners. The appeal was submitted on March 25, 2026, and a CAS Arbitral Panel will now consider the case. CAS Director General Matthieu Reeb stated the panel is equipped to resolve the dispute swiftly while ensuring fair hearings. The appeal requests suspension of the time limit to submit an appeal brief until CAF’s decision grounds are fully notified.
