CcHUB, Mastercard Fund 12 Nigerian EdTech Startups with $100k Each
CcHUB, Nigeria’s first innovation hub, together with the Mastercard Foundation, has selected 12 Nigerian startups for the fourth cohort of its EdTech Fellowship. Each startup receives up to $100,000 in equity‑free funding and joins an 18‑month accelerator that provides technical assistance in product development, communications and business strategy. The cohort focuses on founders tackling barriers to education for learners with disabilities, internally displaced persons, underserved and rural communities, girls and young women, and those building education and workforce data systems.
The selected startups are grouped into four themes: TrainDTrainer Ltd, Talktu, DAWN AI STUDY and Efiwe work on disability‑focused solutions; Ileemore Technologies Limited, Skillup Africa and Lena expand access in underserved, rural and displacement‑affected areas; Heels and Tech, NursePadi, Skilladder AI and Lalitah aim to boost participation, skills and economic opportunities for girls and young women; Ribara Analytica is building data infrastructure to improve education planning and school‑to‑work transitions.
Beyond funding, fellows receive media‑readiness training and stakeholder‑engagement support to increase visibility among partners, funders and the communities they serve. Since its launch in 2019, the Fellowship has backed 72 African EdTech firms, reaching over 700,000 new learners—89% of them children and young people.
