CDCFIB announces paramilitary recruitment ends in four weeks
CDCFIB announced on Friday that the recruitment exercise for Nigeria’s four paramilitary services—Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration—will be completed within the next four weeks. The statement by Secretary Maj‑Gen AM Jibril (ret) said the process is in its final stages but will not be rushed to uphold merit, federal character and due process.
The update addresses the ‘tremendous amount of anticipation’ among applicants nationwide, noting the large volume of applications has made a fair, transparent selection a priority for the board. The board emphasized that the selection will adhere to the principles of justice, merit, federal character and due process, ensuring that reflectivity of Nigeria’s diversity is maintained.
Successful candidates will be notified via the official recruitment platform at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng once the exercise concludes. The recruitment portal will also provide updates on examination dates, training camp locations and deployment schedules for successful candidates.
Applicants should monitor the platform for results and prepare for any next steps, such as training or deployment, as the board aims to finish the selection by roughly mid‑September 2026. Candidates are advised to keep their identification documents and academic credentials readily available for verification once called.
