Chelle denies Marseille job link after Beye appointment

Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has clarified he had no personal contact with Marseille despite recent speculation. The 48-year-old's profile rose after Nigeria's third-place finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Marseille appointed former Senegal international Habib Beye as their new head coach last week. Chelle stated his agency contacted the Ligue 1 club about the position, but he and his agent took no further action.
