Chelsea expects Garnacho, Neto back for FA Cup final against Man City
Chelsea interim head coach Calum McFarlane is hopeful injured stars Alejandro Garnacho and Pedro Neto will be available for the FA Cup final against Manchester City next weekend. The coach spoke after Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, confirming both players are progressing in their recovery from current injuries. "Yeah, we are very hopeful," McFarlane stated when asked about their availability. "You have to take these things day by day. We are hoping that they will be available, but we don't know at this moment in time." The final decision will depend on how the players respond to training this week. "They are going to get back into training, see how they feel, see how it looks. So, fingers crossed," McFarlane added. The FA Cup final is scheduled for May 16-17, 2026, with Chelsea looking to secure silverware after their league draw with Liverpool left them with mixed feelings about their season progress.
