Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide announced the death of their Spiritual Father and leader, Ayo Ni O Emmanuel Alogbo, at age 93. He died peacefully at approximately 2:10 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at his Lagos residence while surrounded by family members and domestic staff, according to a statement signed by Secretary-General Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye.

The passing of Alogbo represents a significant moment for Nigeria's religious landscape, particularly for the Cherubim and Seraphim movement which he led for decades. As one of the country's prominent African Instituted Churches with deep roots in Yorubaland and growing international presence, leadership transitions often carry implications for doctrinal direction, property management, and follower allegiance across Southwest Nigeria and beyond.

The church's Board of Trustees confirmed that detailed funeral arrangements will be communicated separately. While no public action is currently required, members and observers are advised to await official announcements from church headquarters regarding memorial services and any potential leadership succession processes that may follow.
