Nigeria's Director General of the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership, Dr. Joseph Tegbe, urged Nigeria to adopt China's deliberate economic policies for sustainable development. He emphasized discipline, scale and long-term thinking as critical pillars, noting China's transformation resulted from focused standardization and consistent execution rather than accident. Tegbe highlighted China's pragmatic innovation approach where SMEs adapt existing products and models before incremental improvements, master single services, and replicate efficiently. He stressed industrial clusters reducing costs through shared infrastructure and labor, plus aggressive profit reinvestment into machinery and efficiency. Tegbe advised Nigerian entrepreneurs to prioritize technical competence, market-driven growth, export readiness and patient strategies over short-term hustle. The NCSP aims to translate Nigeria-China cooperation into practical outcomes for productivity and economic self-reliance.
