City Boy Movement denies links with US-convicted Nigerian amid fraud allegations

The movement emphasized Salako never held any position within their structure at any level and was never authorized to represent them in the US or elsewhere. The group alleged attempts to associate Salako with the movement were part of efforts to discredit pro-Tinubu support groups, noting media reports about Salako's case initially didn't mention the City Boy Movement. While stating it wasn't interfering in legal matters, the organization insisted it wouldn't accept false attributions or reputational manipulation, reaffirming its commitment to youth mobilization and democratic participation within President Tinubu's political vision. The movement urged the public and media to disregard any reports linking Salako to them.
