He assumed leadership of the state command on Friday, bringing with him vast experience in operations, investigations, administration, and training, acquired over decades of service in the Nigeria Police Force. Nguroje added that Kabir Hassan brings to the command a wealth of professional experience, having served in various strategic and operational capacities. His experience, among others, includes serving as an officer in charge of pipeline security in Gombe State (2003); directing staff at the Police College, Kaduna (2007); serving as a liaison officer at the Police Service Commission (2012); and serving as a divisional police officer in the Soba and Kurmin Mashi Divisions, Kaduna State Command. The new Adamawa police chief had also served as Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Bauchi State; Deputy Commissioner of Police, SCID, Jigawa and Niger State Commands; and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration, Sokoto State Command. According to Nguroje, the new Adamawa CP was, until his recent posting, the Commissioner of Police (Administration) at the Force Headquarters Annex, Lagos.
