Coalition for Truth and Justice, a civil society organization, has dismissed Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi's claims of heading the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), questioning the agency's legal existence. In a statement Wednesday, the coalition noted that Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila had earlier stated the agency doesn't exist under the current administration.

The coalition identified critical gaps: no record in the Federal Government Gazette, no evidence of formal inauguration, and no verifiable appointment letter for Adeyemi through proper channels. They warned that official-looking structures don't become lawful agencies merely through insistence or budget inclusion, citing reports that PFIPC appeared in the 2026 budget with over N1 billion allocation.

Signed by Chief Henry Abba, Dr. Emeka Theodore, and Abdulhahi Sarki Barki, the statement raised concerns about possible budget manipulation and called for investigation into the entity's origin and financial dealings. The coalition demanded President Tinubu order a probe, asked the Secretary to the Government of the Federation to clarify, and urged the National Assembly to investigate the budget inclusion.

This matters because it questions the integrity of N1 billion in public funds and suggests potential fraud schemes targeting unsuspecting citizens. Anti-corruption agencies were urged to trace any funds released in the council's name.

Should citizens be concerned about how N1 billion allocations undergo verification before appearing in national budgets? What mechanisms exist to track such suspicious entities?
