Cubana Chief Priest: Left Peter Obi Because 'I Don't Want to Lose Again'

Nigerian entrepreneur and socialite Pascal 'Cubana Chief Priest' Okechukwu has revealed why he dumped former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.

Cubana, who was among Obi's strongest celebrity supporters in the 2023 presidential race, now serves as coordinator of the City Boys Movement—a grassroots mobilization organization launched by Seyi Tinubu for the upcoming election.

In an interview with popular Nigerian streamer Peller, Cubana stated: 'I left Obi because I don't want to lose again. Peter will still not win because he is not ready.'

The shift comes after Cubana publicly announced his allegiance to Tinubu, moving from being an Obi propagandist to a key figure in the ruling APC's campaign structure. His comments reflect growing speculation about political realignments as Nigeria approaches the next presidential cycle.
