Daddy Showkey urges P-Square brothers to end feud destroying Africa's biggest music brand
Veteran galala singer John “Daddy Showkey” Asiemo expressed disappointment that the ongoing feud between P-Square brothers Peter and Paul Okoye and their elder brother Jude has destroyed what he called “Africa’s biggest music group.” Speaking in a viral Goldmyne TV interview, the 56-year-old emphasized that P-Square’s legacy belongs to fans, not just the brothers, and warned their conflict risks being passed to their children.
Showkey detailed the feud’s history: P-Square first split in 2017, reconciled in 2021, then parted ways again in 2024 over financial and management disputes, prompting an EFCC investigation and court case where Jude denied wrongdoing. He noted their eldest brother Henry recently accused Jude of prolonging the dispute, adding to days of public accusations sparked by Peter’s videos detailing the group’s history and finances.
The singer urged Peter, Paul and Jude to stop dragging each other, resolve their differences for their children’s sake, and follow his example of avoiding quarrels. “Because if the time comes, they will say, one time we were. God will not let it be like that for them,” he said, stressing reconciliation is possible.
