Dangote Petroleum Refinery IPO Opens: ₦525/Share, Sept 14-Oct 13 2026
Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals FZE opened its Initial Public Offering on Monday, 14 September 2026, selling 4.1 billion ordinary shares at ₦525 each. The offer runs until Tuesday, 13 October 2026, with a minimum purchase of 10 shares and multiples of ten thereafter. Proceeds will fund the refinery’s expansion programme, and the shares are set to list on the Nigerian Exchange Limited after the IPO closes.
This IPO gives retail and institutional investors a direct stake in Africa’s largest refinery, potentially boosting the NGX market capitalisation by billions. The Shari’ah‑compliant rating widens the investor base, and the prospect of bonus shares—up to two free shares for holding the minimum amount—adds upside for long‑term holders. With Stanbic IBTC handling issuance, subscription is accessible through its mobile app, internet banking, or e‑subscription portal.
To apply, investors must have their NIN and BVN ready and make full payment at the time of application via any Stanbic IBTC channel. Retail investors can use the e‑subscription portal; corporate investors and those applying for 50,000 shares or more should contact their Stanbic IBTC relationship manager or use the Investor Application Form. The offer closes on 13 October 2026, after which late or incomplete applications will be rejected. Will you start with the minimum 10‑share lot to test the waters, or aim for a larger allocation to qualify for possible bonus shares while supporting the refinery’s growth?
