Dangote Refinery cuts fuel prices - Petrol to N1,250/liter, Diesel to N1,700/liter

Dangote Refinery has reduced its petrol price to N1,250 per liter (from N1,275) and diesel to N1,700 per liter (from N1,800), according to spokesperson Anthony Chijiena. The price cuts of N25 for petrol and N10 for diesel are expected to lower current retail prices nationwide, where petrol currently sells at N1,350 and diesel above N2,000 per liter. This price reduction comes amid declining global crude oil prices - Brent crude at $91 and West Texas Intermediate at $87 per barrel. With transport costs being a major expense for Nigerian households and businesses, this development could provide some relief to consumers nationwide.
