Dangote Refinery IPO launches on NGX Lagos at ₦525/share, open till Oct 13
President Aliko Dangote rang the opening gong on Monday, September 14, 2026, to launch the Dangote Petroleum Refinery IPO on the Nigerian Exchange in Lagos. The offer comprises 4.1 billion ordinary shares priced at ₦525 each, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares (₦5,250). The IPO is expected to raise about ₦2.15 trillion and will remain open until October 13, 2026.
Dangote stated the listing aims to broaden ownership and "democratise wealth creation" rather than merely raise funds. The ceremony attracted Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, NGX Group executives, senior Dangote officials, the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and other dignitaries. The refinery, commissioned in May 2023, is Africa’s largest.
For investors, this presents an opportunity to own a stake in a strategic national asset with a low entry threshold. Consider whether allocating at least ₦5,250 aligns with your investment goals and risk tolerance, and consult a licensed stockbroker for subscription details before the October 13 deadline.
