Davido hosted an exclusive listening party for his sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, at New York City’s Amber Room on Thursday night, hours before the 13-track project dropped on streaming platforms via Sony Music UK/RCA Records. The Martell‑presented event celebrated the singer’s 15‑year music career and featured surprise guest Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif performing their collaboration "Amazing Grace." Attendees included Davido’s wife Chioma, manager Asa Asika, DJ ECool and close friends, who were served Afrobeats‑inspired cocktails while DJ ECool played the album in full before Davido joined the stage for a few live selections.

The album’s title blends the Yoruba words "Ori" (head or destiny) and "Adé" (crown), symbolising what Davido calls his "crown era" and a deliberate return to African‑rooted sounds rather than chasing Western validation. ORIADÉ explores destiny, legacy, community and personal growth over the past decade and a half, with collaborations from Black Sherif, Leon Thomas, Aya Nakamura and Llona. The project follows his 2025 album 5ive and adds to a catalogue that includes Omo Baba Olowo: The Genesis (2012), A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020) and Timeless (2023). ORIADÉ is now available on major streaming platforms.

Will you stream ORIADÉ to experience Davido’s proclaimed "crown era," or will you wait to see how the album’s African‑centric sound resonates with global Afrobeats audiences?
