Former Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye declared today that the African Democratic Congress will resist any attempt by the ruling APC to intimidate or rig the 2027 elections. Speaking on Arise Television's 'Prime Time' after an ADC stakeholders meeting, Melaye used the phrase "All die na die" to signal the party's readiness for confrontation.

According to Politics2027, Melaye accused the APC of deploying security agencies and state institutions to harass opposition members ahead of the polls. He claimed Nigerians are exhausted by hunger, insecurity, and poor governance under President Bola Tinubu and are prepared to vote out the ruling party. Melaye also called on INEC to remain neutral and deliver a credible election.

The rhetoric reflects rising political tension as parties position for 2027. Recent flashpoints include Sokoto State shutting down an ADC office over ownership disputes and the SDP accusing the Niger State government of stationing armoured vehicles at Government House. The APC has also moved to disqualify opposition candidates in Niger.

For voters, the "defend our votes" language suggests opposition parties may adopt more aggressive poll-watching and legal strategies. Whether this translates to effective protection or escalates conflict depends on INEC's credibility and security agencies' neutrality. The real test: can opposition unity hold beyond slogans?
