Music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has dismissed allegations that his record label Mavin Records prioritizes some artists over others in terms of promotion and opportunities. Speaking on the Crea8torium podcast today, the music producer argued that it makes no business sense for a label to invest in an artist and then neglect them.

Don Jazzy claimed that artists who release fewer songs and "are not making waves" are responsible for their own output decisions, not the label. He stated, "If you see an artist in Mavin and the artist only releases one or two songs in a year, just know that it is the artist's decision. If the artist has 1 million songs and they want to release them, we can release them."

The music executive attributed allegations of neglect to imposter syndrome and overthinking among artists who assume their colleagues are treated better. As Nigeria's music industry continues to grow with global recognition, this clarification provides insight into how major labels operate and manage artist relationships.
