DUBAWA Nigeria's editor, Kemi Busari, has been elected as the West Africa representative on the Africa Facts Advisory Committee. The continental body guides fact-checking organizations across Africa. The election occurred within the Africa Facts Network, involving 51 member organizations. The committee includes representatives from Central, East, North, West, and Southern Africa. Other members are Arwa Kooli (North), Eric Mugendi (East), Cris Chinaka (Southern), and Ange Kasongo (Central). Kemi's election underscores DUBAWA's growing influence in promoting fact-checking and media literacy in West Africa. As DUBAWA Nigeria's editor, he has led initiatives against misinformation and strengthened newsroom verification.
