He said that if Moniepoint and Opay have networks to transact business across Nigeria, nothing stops the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, from borrowing their technology. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1524595905268-5'); }); His remark comes following the national debate on the real-time electronic transmission of election results. Since the amendment, Nigerian youths, opposition politicians and Civil Society Organizations, CSOs, have been protesting at the gate of the National Assembly demanding the mandatory e-transmission. Reacting, Azimazi said, “The process of amending the law is still ongoing. It’s inconclusive. The logical thing is for the legislature to have a committee to reconcile differences. “There is no excuse for us to deny ourselves the goodness of real-time election transmission of results. “If Moniepoint and Opay have networks to transact business across Nigeria, nothing stops INEC from borrowing their technology.” Don't Miss Abiodun approves over N450m cash rewards for team Ogun medalists, coaches You may like FCT poll: ADC questions INEC’s silence on Wike’s threat to block anti-Tinubu candidates Group sues INEC, seeks deregistration of ADC, Accord, others over constitutional breaches E-transmission: Let’s not do what we’ll later regret – IPAC National chair, Dantalle E-transmission: Former REC, Igini reveals why most NASS members may lose seats in 2027 Osun poll: PDP, LP missing as INEC clears 14 political parties E-transmission: Senate reveals why ‘real time’ was removed
