Electric Spark Disrupts Operations At MMIA Terminal 3 — FAAN

A file photo of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.   The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says the temporary Terminal 3 (T3) of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport was briefly shut down on Wednesday following an electrical spark. The agency noted that electrical maintenance is ongoing to ensure all systems function optimally ahead of the terminal’s reopening. It added that all flights operating from Terminal 3 have been diverted to Terminal 2. FAAN assured that the situation is under control, as personnel of the Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Services (ARFFS) promptly responded and contained the incident. She disclosed that some people were injured but reiterated that no fatalities were recorded.
