FCCPC has launched an investigation into a viral bread review by Love Dooshima who claimed a loaf remained fresh for over two months. FCCPC Director Ondaje Ijagwu confirmed the probe during Channels Television's The Morning Brief Tuesday, saying the review "raised certain red flags" with the agency.

After the review went viral, the baker reportedly sued Dooshima for ₦50 million and she was arrested. FCCPC intervened to ensure her release and is collaborating with NAFDAC to analyze the bread sample referenced in the review.

Ijagwu emphasized that consumers have rights to "make representations" about products, stating "the law ensures that consumers are provided with information and also guarantees them the right to be heard." The agency said its surveillance and investigation departments are actively monitoring the case.

This case sets important precedents for consumer protection and freedom of expression regarding product reviews. As FCCPC continues its investigation, both the quality concerns and the consumer's rights remain central to the regulatory response.
