Nwangwu spoke on Monday when he featured on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’. Recall that the FCT area council election was held over the weekend, with the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, clinching five of the councils. PDP, however, won in Gwagwalada Area Council. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1524595905268-5'); }); There were reports of low voter turnout from various polling units across the six area councils of the FCT. Reacting, Nwangwu said, “Observers agree the elections were peaceful in FCT’s six area councils. However, voter turnout was low, especially in cosmopolitan areas where people work in the city but live in suburbs. “Many registered voters couldn’t vote due to the curfew. Citizens must engage in civic responsibility by voting. Not voting is actually voting for something else.” Don't Miss FCT polls: Many things went wrong – PDP spokesman, Ememobong You may like FCT poll: APC leads as INEC begins collation of results for AMAC chairmanship election FCT Poll: INEC declares PDP candidate, Kasim winner of Gwagwalada Council FCT Poll: Abuja people not interested in voting – Shehu Sani FCT Poll: ADC raises alarm over claims of voters’ names missing from register FCT Poll: Low voter turnout, missing names at Aungwa Bawa, Nyanya FCT Poll: Low voter turnout in Kuje as accreditation, voting begins
